The Maidenhair Tree was said to be an ancient tree and is hardy but beautiful in autumn. Six Maidenhair Trees survived Hiroshima A-bomb till today. I am again amazed by God’s nature. The Maidenhair Tree can survive beyond 3000 years and can grow to beyond 40 feet tall in comparison to humans such as the 3 boys below in the painting. Meanwhile, the 3 boys seemed to have found an alternative path which reminds me of the song, God will make a way.

Each time seeing the waves, brings a refreshing thought of the Lord’s mercy. ‘Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See I am doing a new things!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?’

Horse at Philip Island

One early morning, I chanced upon this horse grazing on Philip Island. Horses are selective animals. They do not graze according to humanly decided path but graze on their own preference. Some spots may be left alone while others are being grazed bare. Following the path of its graze reminds me of God making a path in the wilderness for us.

On an evening, I saw a man with dog walking along Foreshore Brighton.
He shared with us about that stretch of beach and beyond. It was a wide stretch of beach, serene and has beautiful colors. Now when I looked back at foreshore Brighton, I find myself humming words from a song ‘Rivers in the desert will I see…. He will do something new today’.
