Singapore is my birth land but I have never seriously embrace it until
during the pandemic as I begin to intercede for her, I begin
to recognise the move of God’s blessings over the land of Singapore.
This painting was birthed through the gratefulness to God for what He has done and the declaration of His glory over us. (2 Chronicles 7:14-15)
I find the lyrics of ‘The Exodus song” (lyric by Pat Boone) well describe my emotion…
This Land is mine,
God gave this land to me
This brave and golden land to me
And when the morning sun reveals her hills and plains
Then I see a land where children can run free.
So take my hand and walk this land with me
And walk this lovely land with me
Though I am just a man
When you are by my side
With the help of God I know I can be strong.
To make this land our home.

I’ve always loved looking at trees, big huge trees, I feel alive.
I love the sound of the leaves blow by the wind.
I love standing under the shade …it gives me a sense security.
Oak tree is often associated with strength, provision and protection.
It serves as a metaphor for God Himself - the tree of the Cross, the life-giving tree.
We are living under God’s saving grace, resting securely under the shade of
a strong mighty tree.

To me, Cactus carry the symbolic of ‘Resilience’ and ‘Endurance’.
The ability to endure and see beyond the visible and the need
to trust that I am protected and provided.
